Taverne Atlantic

Taverne Atlantic opened in late summer 2019 at Parc and Beaubien in Mile-Ex, from Alexandre Baldwin, Alexandre Wolosianski and Éric Dupuis, the team behind Bar Henrietta and Balsam Inn. Baldwin designed the Art Deco-inspired room inside a former farm machinery dealership: 70 seats, a long bar for about 20, tables in the middle and a cozy sofa corner, all under the house motto, something for everyone.

The drinks match that motto, with wines from classic appellations to natural bottles, local craft beer, classic and house cocktails, a house slush and mocktails. The snack bar serves comforting casse-croûte and deli food, with hot dog sausages and pepperoni made and smoked on site, and house pizza dough, sauerkraut and fermented peppers. Upstairs, a rooftop terrace of about 60 seats around a barbecue is, in Tastet's words, one of the most beautiful in Montreal. The tavern placed #48 on Canada's 50 Best Bars in 2022.
