Lakeside Kawarthas resort with a wet cedar barrel sauna, a cedar ofuro cold plunge and lakeside yoga
Why go to The Trace at Oak Lake
The Trace sits on a 5-acre peninsula on Oak Lake near Havelock in the Kawarthas, with over 1,100 feet of waterfront, private cabins and townhouse-chalets. Its outdoor spa area has a wet cedar barrel sauna used year round, a Japanese-style cedar ofuro cold plunge kept near 50°F, an outdoor shower and a bucket shower.
Lakeside yoga classes run on Saturday mornings in summer, led by certified instructors on the lakeside terrace, and an outdoor gym sits on the grounds. Guests can swim, kayak or paddleboard between sauna rounds.
