Amigo's Cantina

Amigo's Cantina started as a passion project of friends Steve Benesh, Jim Clarke and Alex Clendening, and it has been a fixture of Saskatoon's Broadway district ever since. The stage is the draw. Broken Social Scene, Modest Mouse, Sarah McLachlan, Propagandhi and Neko Case have all played the room, and the venue bills itself as one of Canada's most storied.

The kitchen mixes Mexican plates with pub fare, and the portions are generous. Discover Saskatoon points to the ancho chicken enchiladas, the lila mole fajita and the nachos supremo grande, with inexpensive beer alongside and a kids' menu for younger fans. The National Post once named Amigo's among Canada's best restaurants, and Canada's 50 Best Bars placed it 44th in 2023.
