Rockies & River Restaurant

Rockies & River, known in Chinese as 山河聚, is a Sichuan restaurant in a Silver Springs plaza in northwest Calgary. The Chinese Restaurant Awards chose its sablefish with pickled greens as a 2026 Canada Signature Dish, noting that it shows a side of Sichuan cooking beyond chili heat. Tender sablefish sits in a broth built on aged pickled greens that the judges called tangy, savoury and deeply aromatic: the fish stays soft and sweet while the fermented greens keep each bite lively, a comforting bowl with more depth than its simplicity suggests.
