Revived 1970s motel in the Ottawa Valley with a cedar barrel sauna, cold plunge and nightly bonfires
Why go to Somewhere Inn Calabogie
Somewhere Inn is a revived 1970s motel on Calabogie Road in the Ottawa Valley. Its thermal cycle pairs a cedar barrel sauna built in Ontario, heated to about 80°C, with a cold plunge kept near 4°C right beside it, followed by rest in the lobby or a hammock under the tree canopy.
The inn suggests up to 15 minutes in the sauna, up to three in the plunge and about ten at rest, repeated two or three times. Bonfires are lit nightly year round, visitors can book a session for $25, and overnight guests have the grounds around the clock.
