Sidecar is a speakeasy-style lounge tucked beneath Mati on Preston Street in Little Italy, a basement room of low light, plush seating and retro décor. The cocktails pair classic technique with modern twists, from smoky mezcal drinks to crisp martinis, and the food mirrors Mati's menu of small plates and heartier mains. It opens on Saturday nights and takes private events on other days, and Canada's 50 Best Bars ranked it 32nd in 2023.
