Stelvio
Dundas West, Toronto
Lombard Italian on Dundas West with a wide Italian wine list.
Why go to Stelvio
Stelvio takes its name from the Alpine pass in Lombardy, where its owners also run a hotel, and it cooks the food of the Valtellina Valley and the wider region. After four years on Queen West it moved to Dundas West, doubling its size, and BlogTO describes chairs from a closed Milan theatre, a marble bar with counter seats and tattoo-style artwork about Milanese food culture.
House-made egg pasta, cured meats and aged cheeses from Valtellina are the specialties. The menu has featured mondeghili, fried Milanese meatballs with onion compote; casoncelli alla bergamasca with amaretti, raisins, sage and pancetta; porcini risotto on carnaroli rice; and rabbit with potatoes and rosemary. The wine list sticks to Northern Italy, and Gambero Rosso awarded Stelvio one Forchetta in 2026.
