Bar Bricco

Bar Bricco is a small Italian wine bar on Jasper Avenue, a dark and moody room in the heart of downtown Edmonton that opens every day from 5 p.m. until late. It is the last of chef Daniel Costa's original Jasper Avenue trio, and it has since taken over the neighbouring space that once held Corso 32 to add seats. Walk-ins are welcome, and the wine list is Italian only, always changing and full of rare bottles.

The kitchen works in small plates and handmade pastas drawn from the regional cooking of Italy, and the house suggests ordering several to share. Edify Edmonton, which calls the bar a long-time favourite of its Best Restaurants judges, singled out the pillowy agnolotti with butter and parmigiano, and called the menu deceptively simple. The occasional Toc Toc walk-in wine parties pair new bottles with snacks and music, and the bar placed #40 on Canada's 50 Best Bars in 2024.
