Thermea Spa Village Whitby

Thermea Spa Village sits on Cochrane Street in Whitby, about 45 minutes from Toronto, and is run by Groupe Nordik, which also operates spa villages in Chelsea, Quebec, and Winnipeg. It opened in October 2022. A day pass covers more than 25 thermal installations, including Finnish, aromatic, Himalayan salt and steam saunas, cold and temperate baths, a waterfall bath, and rest areas such as a silent A-frame cottage.

blogTO describes the Loggä as the largest sauna in Canada, with room for more than 90 people, and Aufguss rituals run in the ritual saunas several times a day. Silence is required in the sauna area, and phones stay out of the baths and saunas. Access costs $128 per person Monday to Thursday and $138 on weekends, and three restaurants, Le Resto, Lounge and Biergarden, serve guests.
