Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Climbing Wall
Scarborough, Toronto
A 41 ft wall, one of the highest of its kind in the region, with monthly new routes
Why go to Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Climbing Wall
The Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre was built on the University of Toronto Scarborough campus for the 2015 Pan American Games, and it is jointly owned by the City of Toronto and the University of Toronto. Its climbing wall stands 41 feet tall, and the centre describes it as one of the highest of its kind in the region. UTSC Athletics calls the wall one of the highlights of the facility.
Routes change monthly and cover a range of experience levels. Newcomers start with an introductory Learn to Climb class, and every climber passes a belay test before using the climbing equipment. Drop-in sessions run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings and on weekend afternoons, open to climbers aged five and up. An adult drop-in is $24 plus HST with belay and equipment included, and TPASC members pay a lower rate.
