Car's Dessert started as a little-known stall in Richmond's Pacific Plaza food court before moving to a larger, takeout-only storefront a few steps from the Canada Line's Aberdeen Station. Tourism Richmond points to its Hong Kong desserts, from soft mochi balls to baked sago puddings with smooth, custard-like fillings. The Chinese Restaurant Awards have named it a Top 50 Honouree on the Elite 30 Canada list in both 2025 and 2026, recommending the durian mochi and the fresh mango with cream mochi, the two to grab before they sell out.
